First-round pick Jalon Walker, WR Darnell Mooney among those missing at Monday’s practice.
The Atlanta Falcons have had a busy morning thus far, announcing multiple roster moves ahead of Monday’s practice. Head coach Raheem Morris also provided injury updates on rookie Jalon Walker and several other injured players.
Walker, who missed Friday’s preseason loss to the Tennessee Titans due to a groin injury, remains out and will likely miss this weekend’s finale against the Dallas Cowboys. Morris says this is just a precautionary move as the team hopes to get Walker ready for the regular season opener.
“Going to operate with an abundance of caution,” Morris said of the team’s plans for the first-round pick out of Georgia. “Not really worried about it. But you don’t want it to linger.”
As for the others, Falcons beat reporter Terrin Wacck listed the following players as absent from Monday’s practice.

Head coach Morris also said cornerback Clark Phillips III, running back Carlos Washington and offensive tackle Storm Norton will be out this week as well. Wide receiver/kick returner Jamal Agnew is dealing with an oblique injury.
The Falcons signed quarterback Ben DiNucci and are expected to sign edge rusher Ronnie Perkins to their 90-man roster. In corresponding moves, the team released wide receiver DJ Chark and waived injured quarterback Emory Jones.
