Jaguars’ rookie minicamp will be open to the public on Saturday, giving fans their first look at Travis Hunter.

Jacksonville Jaguars fans will get the opportunity to see second overall pick and two-way star Travis Hunter during the team’s rookie minicamp practice this upcoming weekend.

It was announced that the Jaguars’ rookie minicamp will be open to the public on Saturday, May 10th, from 1:25 pm to 2:30 pm at the Miler Electric Center.

More information will come on Wednesday, May 7th, regarding getting tickets to the event.

Hunter won the Heisman Trophy this past season, starring on both sides of the football. As a receiver in the Colorado offense, he totaled 1,258 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns, while on defense, Hunter forced four interceptions and seven pass breakups, surrendering a completion rate of only 56%.

The Jaguars plan to have Hunter play both sides of the football as well, but he will be onboarded initially on offense at the receiver position.

“He’s a rare person,” Gladstone said via the team site. “He’s a rare player. But he’s also a reminder that the boundaries of the game of football were built to be challenged. We want him to be nothing more than him – because when he is, he elevates the space around him – from the football field, to the city, to the game of football itself. Travis Hunter is who we’ve been hunting up.”

Rookie minicamp is for incoming draft picks, UDFAs, and oftentimes some tryout players as well, and helps the first-year players begin the acclimation process and lay the foundation for what’s to come.
