The Lions are 1-2 in preseason play, with losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins and a win in a shortened game over the Atlanta Falcons. Saturday’s game will be the last opportunity for quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker to prove why they should be Jared Goff’s backup.
Neither one was a frontrunner following the Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers, but Allen distinguished himself in the team’s past two games against the Falcons and Dolphins.
