Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed returns to practice

  • August 21, 2025

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Wednesday marked a significant step of progress for the Tennessee Titans’ secondary and one of its veteran leaders.

Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was activated from the team’s physically unable to perform (PUP) list and therefore passed a physical to be cleared to practice.

It was the first time Sneed practiced with the team since last fall.

“It’s a very big release,” Sneed said of returning to practice. “Just coming out here and being a part of everybody as a whole and not just in there rehabbing all the time, it’s a big deal.”

Sneed played in just five games last season. He injured his hamstring and then his quadriceps, which was enough to land him on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

Tennessee then put him on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to start training camp. The Titans’ front office shared that Sneed had a knee “cleanup” procedure done in May.

“I learned to have patience, a lot of patience with this,” Sneed said. “You know, being away from football, it kind of hurt because this is what I love, this is what I do for a living. But it taught me a lot of patience.”

“It’s been a process, but trusting the process. Day in, day out, come in and put my work in. You know, I’m back on this field now.”

Defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson commented on Sneed’s ability to navigate his return to play through injuries and off-field issues. Sneed is reportedly being sued for $1 million by a Texas man who alleges Sneed or his personal assistant shot at him while at a car dealership in December.

“His intestinal fortitude, his belief in himself; He has something to prove,” Wilson said. “And when you have something to prove, you come out here and you do your work, you’re going to do it diligently and he’s going to put everything he has into being the best version of himself and that’s all we ask for.”

Sneed said he is very confident he will be ready for the Titans’ season opener at Denver on September 7.
