The preseason is coming to a close, and the regular season is right around the corner, but there’s still a lot of work to do. The Washington Commanders have one last preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, and then decide on roster cuts.

There are a lot of players who will be taking the field with their futures on the line, so this game is well worth watching. Here’s how you can tune in for the Commanders-Ravens preseason finale.

How to watch the game

Kickoff is scheduled for an early Saturday matchup at Noon at home on August 23rd. We finally don’t have to stay up for this one, and I’ll have plenty of coverage after the game. Luckily, this is a local game, so it’ll be much easier to watch as well. Here’s the local channels listed for the Commanders’ coverage:

WUSA (CBS/9 – Washington)

WTKR (CBS/3 – Norfolk, VA)

WRLH (FOX/35 – Richmond, VA)

Local blackouts do apply, but the ESPN app has it listed as a place to stream as well for others outside of the areas listed above. NFL+ has been the most reliable service for me to watch all of the preseason games on, and replays, including All-22 film to get a better look at every play.

What to watch for

The Commanders need to cut the roster all the way down to 53 players by 4 pm ET on Tuesday, August 26th. There are a lot of tough decisions to be made, and not many starters will play, if any at all. The depth guys who are on the roster bubble will have one last chance to leave an impression on the coaching staff.

There’s still a battle that remains unclear in the wide receiver room after the five roster locks. Will the Commanders keep six or seven receivers? Will undrafted rookie Ja’Corey Brooks beat out veterans in K.J. Osborn and Michael Gallup? Brooks went quiet after an impressive first preseason game, but he has another shot to steal a spot.

We will also get to see the running backs featured in the game after HC Dan Quinn said that they will decide who they want to see on the field, and it might give us a look at what to expect for Week 1 as well.

The team continues to make moves on both sides of the ball as well, and they could very well add more players after other roster cuts happen around the league. No one is safe even after the roster cuts. The fates of a lot of roster cut candidates will be decided based on how they perform in the final preseason game on Saturday.
