The Vikings themselves are in need of wide receiver help now thanks to injuries to Justin Jefferson and Jailen Nailor, not to mention Jordan Addison’s three-game suspension. Valdes-Scantling could provide them with a decent ancillary option.
Valdes-Scantling has played for four different teams throughout his NFL career, winning back-to-back Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns. He played a major role during both of those Kansas City playoff runs and has long been known as a terrific vertical threat, averaging 17.4 yards per catch for his career.

While the 30-year-old may be a bit of a one-trick pony in that regard (and doesn’t exactly have the most reliable hands), he would at least bring a veteran presence to a Vikings receiving corps that suddenly needs it.
As for Seattle, it really doesn’t need Valdes-Scantling all that much. That’s especially if its young wide outs step up and produce early. Valdes-Scantling may find himself in a similar situation to the one he was mired in during his time between the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints last season, when he totaled just 19 catches.
