Watch the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders perform at Oxnard Fan Night
The Dallas Cowboys held a night for fans — with music, autographs, games and the famous cheerleaders — in Oxnard, the home of their training camp.
The Dallas Cowboys preseason comes to an end Friday at home against Atlanta, and depending on the point of view, the regular season either can’t get her quickly enough to end this miserable preseason, or it needs to be much further away so Dallas can figure things out.
At any rate, both teams come in 0-2 and are committed to sitting their regulars, so the only way CeeDee Lamb gets any action is if he is run over again by an official. Dak Prescott will get plenty of screen time on the nationally televised (NFL Network) game, but no field time.
Can quarterback Joe Milton present a case not to go shopping for another backup? Can the Cowboy run defense have a reasonable showing against a team that won’t play Bijan Robinson? Does winning a preseason game matter to either team?
All will be revealed Friday.
The Week 3, final preseason game will kickoff at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT on Friday, Aug. 22, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
What channel is the Dallas Cowboys game on today?

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys odds

Cowboys vs Falcons predictions, picks
The line: Cowboys 19, Falcons 17
Dallas is favored by 2 1/2 points. With an over-under of 35 1/2, Dallas is expected to win 19-17 or 19-16.
El Paso Times: Cowboys 16, Falcons 10
Bret Bloomquist writes: “The easiest way to get better is to play someone worse. While Brian Schottenheimer seems determined not to reveal anything, including if Joe Milton has any aptitude for the game, Atlanta doesn’t seem the team to take advantage. By the way, why isn’t Dallas playing Houston in its final preseason game with the governor out there to hand out a meaningless trophy?”
BetMGM: Bet the Cowboys on the money line
It writes: “The winning team model predicts the Cowboys will win this game with 71.3% confidence, based on game simulations, player injuries, offensive & defensive matchups and recent game results.”
Sports Chat Place: Dallas giving the points
Nikos Lagouretos writes: “I do not trust either team at this point, after both losing their first two preseason games. They both looked terrible offensively, and Dallas’ defense looks atrocious, having conceded 31 points in both of their games. Dallas went for 1-2 in the 2024 preseason, while Atlanta was winless with 0-3 wins. The Cowboys have been dominating the Falcons in Dallas, and Atlanta is not in a shape to steal a road victory in this spot. Take the Dallas Cowboys and lay the -2.5 points in this one.”
Odds Shark: Take Dallas giving the points
Nick Holtz writes: “I’m betting on Milton to play better football, and the Cowboys pass-rush to harass Atlanta’s quarterbacks after they tallied 21 pressures last week. Dallas is rolling out experienced players like Payton Turner, Perrion Winfrey, Sam Williams, and James Houston who are battling for a roster spot on defensive line. Expect that unit to dominate the Falcons backups up front. Additionally, Atlanta is now 0-6-1 SU and 2-5 ATS in their last seven preseason games. That’s good enough for me.”
