The Northridge Jaguars football team rolled to an 41-21 win over Calera at home to open up their 2025 season.
Calera trailing in the third quarter, looking to cut into the deficit, quarterback Jordan ward drops back and finds his receiver Jaylon Moore who makes a great catch in the end zone. Calera still trailed 21-14.
Next possession, Northridge quarterback Mayson Elam looks to make a play with his legs but finds his receiver Keith Powell to move the chains for a first down.
Later that same drive, Elam drops back again and this time tight end Adam Hall is wide open for the touchdown. Extra point is no good, Jags lead 27-13.
The very next Calera drive, Elam trying to make a play but the pass is knocked up into the air and intercepted by Jags linebacker Lewis Cole. Northridge takes over possession.
Northridge would roll in the 4th quarter and win by a final score of 41-21.
Next up for the Jaguars (1-0), they will host the American Christian Academy Patriots (0-1) on Friday, Aug. 29.
For the Calera Eagles (0-1), they will host the Central Falcons (1-0) next Friday, Aug. 29.
