After the game, HC Kevin Stefanski was asked about whether Sanders showed enough to make the team. His response was unsurprising but notable:

A fifth-round pick, after a trade up, Sanders making the roster was all but certain before training camp even began.

The most interesting statement from Stefanski was that he announced, with the permission of GM Andrew Berry, that undrafted free agent DT Adin Huntington had made the team’s initial 53-man roster with his stellar preseason performance:

An undrafted free agent out of Tulane, Huntington is undersized but very athletic as he’s shown both on kickoff coverage, on the defensive line and lining up as a fullback to start the game against the Rams.

Does Stefanski announcing Huntington making the roster surprise you?
