Washington Commanders are introducing a new concessions menu featuring local flavors to speed up service at Northwest Stadium.
LANDOVER, Md. — Kickoff for the Washington Commanders is just weeks away — and this season, fans will notice a fresh focus on food at Northwest Stadium.
The team invited reporters and influencers to sample the new concessions menu, designed to showcase local flavors while speeding up service on gameday.
Local Favorites On the Roster
District Taco, serving up pollo asado, carnitas, barbacoa — and soon, carne asada. Owner Osiris Hoil says the stadium menu is built for speed: “We have to serve you in under a minute.”
DMV Crabrolls, highlighting the region’s seafood roots. Chef James Taylor says his twist combines “the crab essence of the DMV” with a carryout-style roll.
Ben’s Chili Bowl, a D.C. institution, returns with its signature half-smokes and chili.
Classic stadium bites like chicken fingers, burgers, and pretzels are also sticking around — with some local spice mixed in.
Faster Service, Happier Fans
Commanders Chief Growth Officer Ben Coble says the focus isn’t just on what’s served, but how quickly fans can get it.
“It’s really important to leverage new technologies so people get their food quickly, pay, and get back to their seats,” Coble said.
The goal: make food part of the gameday tradition — not something that keeps fans stuck in line.
A Winning Combination
From crab rolls to tacos to D.C. chili, the Commanders are betting that food, speed, and local flavor will keep fans coming back, no matter what happens on the field.
