Jaxson Dart has proven he’s built tough, and it certainly runs in the family.

The New York Giants rookie credits his grit and fearless approach to his father, Brandon Dart, who is just as fiery as he is.

Dart Sr. isn’t one to sit quietly when the media takes shots at his family, as he recently made that clear.

Some may perceive New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart’s dad, Brandon Dart, to be “miserable” and a “hard-ass” father, and he recently had something to say about that.

Chris Trapasso first made the claim. “Jaxson Dart looks like the antagonist in a high school football movie,” Trapasso said, “who we come to find out is actually nice but just has a miserable, hard-ass dad at home.”

Dart’s dad took to X, formerly Twitter, to fire back at those claims. While he acknowledges that he can be a “hard-ass,” he added, “I’m far from miserable,” Jaxson Dart’s dad, Brandon, said, “but I’m a Hard-Ass, and that’ll never change! Dartsarentsoft!”

In the meantime, Jaxosn Dart’s little brother is currently rated as a three-star prospect in the college football recruiting Class of 2027.

With a name like Diesel Dart, it’s no wonder people are paying attention to him.

Diesel is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back and wide receiver for the Corner Canyon High School football team in Draper, Utah. Diesel, who is heading into his junior season, seems to be following in the footsteps of his older brother and making waves as well.

The younger brother of Jaxson Dart shined during a 38-13 win in Florida.

Diesel already has offers from several colleges, including BYU, UNLV, Arizona, San Diego State, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

Jaxson Dart’s future with the New York Giants is bright.

The New York Giants traded into the first round to draft Dart as the 25th overall pick.

Dart, whose mom went viral in the stands during the preseason, is currently behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston heading to the 2025 season. However, it won’t always be like that come 2026.

In the preseason, he finished 32 of 47 passing for 372 passing yards, and three passing touchdowns. He also had zero interceptions, and six rushed for 52 yards and a score.

Veterans like Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston lead the group, but the team recently cut fan favorite Tommy DeVito, making preseason standout rookie Jaxson Dart the third quarterback on the depth chart.

The Giants fanbase, which hasn’t had a reliable arm at the position since Eli Manning, has clung to the young quarterback from Ole Miss.

The wait might be worth it.
