GREEN BAY – One Green Bay Packers player who won’t be going anywhere on cutdown day is long snapper Matt Orzech.

Heading into the final year of his contract, Orzech agreed to a three-year extension, his agent, Paul Sheehy, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Orzech, 30, has handled the Packers long-snapping duties both seasons special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia was in charge. Signed as a free agent after playing with Jacksonville and then the Los Angeles Rams, Orzech struggled with accuracy his first season, particularly on field goals, but after the Packers settled on veteran kicker Brandon McManus last year, he found a rhythm.

McManus made 20 of 21 field goal attempts last season, missing one other in the postseason.

The operation was working especially well in training camp, where McManus hit 73 of 79 attempts for field goals and extra points in practice and games.

Financial terms of Orzech’s deal were not available.
