10 Cardinals cuts are already free agents. At least one will be back.

The Arizona Cardinals cut their roster down to 53 players. While most players around the NFL are subject to the waiver wire before they can sign with another team on their active roster or practice squad, that isn’t always the case.

Vested veterans, players with at least four credited seasons, are not subject to waivers and become unrestricted free agents immediately.

Of the Cardinals’ roster cuts, 10 players are vested veterans. They will not get claimed by another team off waivers. They might sign elsewhere, though.

Here are those players.

For practice squad purposes, all bit Fehoko are considered veterans, and teams can have up to six veteran players on the practice squad. Fehoko is a standard practice squad addition.

Brewer for certain will be brought back. Otherwise, the Cardinals don’t have a long snapper. But he was a guy who was easy to cut because they need to make at least one other roster move, and he will be back.
