Just like that, the Houston Texans have their initial 53-man roster for the 2025 season.

Tuesday’s deadline has come and gone, leading to a slew of roster moves in H-Town for the upcoming year. Some were shocking, like the release of do-it-all defensive back Myles Bryant. Others were expected, like the departure of cornerback D’Angelo Ross.

General manager Nick Caserio recently said during Tuesday’s press conference that Houston has reached out to several players about joining the 16-man practice squad. This can include several rookies, including drafted players and options who have spent up to two years with the organization.

Expect a majority of the names to fall in place from the waived or released crew amid the roster cuts, but a handful of names recently released could also join Houston from the outside looking in.

Follow along as Texans Wire tracks all the additions made to the practice squad on Wednesday:

According to KPRC 2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, do-it-all defensive back Myles Bryant will return to the roster as a member of the practice squad.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Texans are bringing back Harrison Bryant. Right now, he’s expected to start on the practice squad, but should be elevated to the active roster before Week 1 arrives.

TE Harrison Bryant will be signing back with the #Texans, per source. Houston recently acquired him via trade and released him Tuesday. As @FieldYates noted, that appears to be a procedural move with an open door to an eventual return.
