The biggest news in the NFL on Thursday didn’t involve the Arizona Cardinals, but it does impact them. The trade of defensive end Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers impacts two games the Cardinals play in 2025.
The Cowboys sent Parsons, who had been in a contract battle with the team, to Green Bay for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks.

Parsons, in four NFL seasons, has 52.5 sacks and last season it was his lowest total with 12, which he accomplished despite missing four games.
The Packers then immediately agreed to a massive contract worth four years and $188 million, making im the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.
Micah Parsons trade: What it means for the Cardinals
The Cardinals are scheduled to play both the Packers and the Cowboys.
The Packers got notably better. The Cowboys are worse and less scary, for sure.
The Cardinals will host the Packers in Week 7. Parsons now gives them a scary pass-rushing threat to pair with Rashan Gary.

The Packers were favored by 1.5 points originally for that game. That spread will certainly change.
The Cardinals play the Cowboys on the road on Monday night in Week 9. Parsons was their best player. Yes, Clark is a nice addition for their run defense and gives them a solid pair of DTs with Osa Odighizuwa.
But now their starting defensive ends are Dante Fowler and Marshawn Kneeland.
The Packers are less beatable now and the Cowboys are more beatable.
