The Detroit Lions‘ 53-man roster is full.

The Lions filled the final spot on their roster Friday when they were awarded safety Thomas Harper off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Harper made five starts and played in 15 games last season for the Raiders. He was waived Thursday to make room for safety Tristin McCollum.

The Lions kept just 50 players at Tuesday’s roster cut and have slowly added to that number in the days since. They traded Tim Patrick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a draft pick Wednesday, signed ex-Jaguars safety Daniel Thomas the same day and added two defensive linemen off waivers.

Harper will compete with Thomas and defensive backs Rock Ya-Sin and Avonte Maddox for a backup job behind Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch.
