GURDON — A season-opener victory turned out to be a dominant shutout performance for the Magnet Cove Panthers Friday after securing a convincingly 39-0 road win against the Gurdon Go-Devils—kicking off the 2025 football season.
The Panthers kept their execution top-notch from several key playmaking and trips into the end zone to start off the year 1-0.
Magnet Cove football head coach Dean Adams hoped for a productive start to their season Friday. Indeed, the Panthers brought the PPRD spirit to G-town for a victorious outing. “I thought we were shaky on offense at times,” Adams said. “Gurdon came to play and made things tough on us at times.” Panthers got rolling early for a 24-0 first half performance.
