The Pittsburgh Steelers are pulling out all the stops in 2025 — as they have reportedly hired Krithi Chandrakasan for a football research role, per ESPN’s Seth Walder.

Chandrakasan previously worked for the Kansas City Chiefs and most recently served as the Director of Football Analytics for the Chicago Bears.

Tasked with providing models and data that will help push Pittsburgh to the next level, the addition of Chandrakasan is a welcomed one — especially considering the criticisms surrounding predictability on both sides of the ball.

Analytics are a fast-growing aspect of the NFL — one the Steelers feel they can no longer ignore — and the experience of Chandrakasan could prove invaluable for Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl aspirations this upcoming season.
