Joe Bachie landed with a new team.
The former Michigan State linebacker signed a free-agent deal with the Indianapolis Colts, the franchise announced on Wednesday. Bachie, who went undrafted in 2020, has 37 tackles in 51 career games with two starts.
He is now reunited with first-year Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who he played for the last four years with the Bengals.
Bachie, an Ohio native, had 285 tackles, including 27.5 for a loss, eight sacks, five interceptions, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 40 career games with 34 starts over four seasons with the Spartans. He was a two-time team captain whose senior year was cut short due to testing positive for a banned substance.
After going undrafted, Bachie spent time with the Saints and Eagles before landing in Cincinnati. He has played mostly on special teams with the Bengals since logging 160 defensive snaps in 2021.
