The 53-man roster deadline has come and gone — and leaving an assortment of talented players to enter free agency, as teams across the NFL finalize their last few roster cuts.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 53-man roster may be set, but these five additional free agents could be perfect additions to both sides of the Steel City brand of football.

WR Hunter Renfrow

Arguably one of the best route runners in the NFL had his comeback bid cut short after the Panthers released him as part of final roster cuts. If there’s anyone who could help Renfrow revitalize his career, it would be Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers.

DL Christian Wilkins

Despite a failed stint with the Las Vegas Raiders, Wilkins is still one of the most talented defensive linemen in the league. If healthy, Wilkins could help the Steelers form an even more devastating defensive line, potentially at a bargain.

CB Mike Hilton

While the Steelers’ cornerback room is filled to the brim with talent — so much so that 2024 rookie sensation Beanie Bishop Jr. was delegated to the practice squad — Hilton’s return in a depth role could be the final missing piece for what looks like a Super Bowl-caliber secondary.

WR K.J. Osborn

Osborn was released by the Washington Commanders as part of the final roster cuts. While he hasn’t replicated the early success of his Vikings tenure, his veteran presence could help prop up a young, unproven Steelers offense.

DL Morgan Fox

With Pittsburgh’s defensive line struggling with health concerns less than two weeks out from the regular season opener, Fox could serve as short-term relief. At 30 years old, Fox offers 120 games of experience and remains one of the best backup defensive linemen in free agency following his release from the Atlanta Falcons.
