Who’s wearing it now: QB Geno Smith
The new quarterback in Las Vegas. He carries the hopes that the new regime can do something they haven’t done in 23 years — win a playoff game. Well, the hopes are higher than that, but you gotta start somewhere. Smith was acquired in trade with Seattle where he was the starter the past three seasons and went to two Pro Bowls. Can he take his career to new heights at age 34 and the Raiders along with it ala Rich Gannon in the late 90s? Hope is alive that he can.
