A pair of Eagles clashes highlight the NFL’s top five games of 2025
The only bad part about how we feel right now is the knowledge that it’s time to go to work again. It’s almost like loving your job AND the bed you sleep in nightly. The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl 59, and even though it’s time to get up and go to work again (i.e., the most recent rookie minicamp and OTAs in a few weeks), there’s a desire to sleep in and cuddle with the Lombardi Trophy.
Philly enters another season. They do so for just the second time as the reigning and defending champions. April’s showers brought May’s flowers. May will also get another NFL schedule release. Guess what? A couple of upcoming Birds games earned some favorable mention.
Two Eagles regular-season games are among the top five on the NFL’s 2025 slate.
The NFL’s 2025 schedule release is set for May 14th. We know who the Eagles’ opponents are. We need only be informed of when those games will occur.
NFL.com recently released its list of the coming campaign’s top ten games. Two featuring the chamos are among the top four.
We’d selfishly rank that game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs a tad higher. This is a Super Bowl grudge match for goodness’ sake. Philly will visit Arrowhead Stadium for another tussle with the Kansas City Chiefs. They have their usual six NFC East games vs. the Washington Commanders, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles also face the members of the AFC West and NFC North. By winning the NFC East last season, they have a date with the NFC South’s reigning champion, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Amon-Ra St. Brown asked for the smoke and hopes his Detroit Lions get it in Week 1. We’ll see if the schedule makers agree. As you can see, they slot that one as the second most interesting clash behind only a game featuring the Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. We’ll see what happens. We shouldn’t wait much longer to see how things shake out.
