The Patriots continue to add experience to their scout team.

On Monday, the team signed veteran center Brenden Jaimes and subsequently released Alec Lindstrom from the practice sqaud. Jaimes adds more depth to the Patriots’ offensive line and at center to go with Garrett Bradbury, Ben Brown, and Jared Wilson.

Jaimes entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. The 26-year-old played in 46 NFL games, making three starts with the Chargers.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jaimes has played 241 snaps at center, eight at left guard, and eight at right guard. He’s allowed one career sack and two quarterback hits.

This offseason, Jaimes signed with the Tennessee Titans. He was released as part of the final roster cuts.

After cutdown day, the Patriots’ top backup interior offensive linemen were Brown and Caedan Wallace. The team signed veteran Wes Schweitzer in free agency to add depth, but the veteran retired in the summer.

Over the last week, Mike Vrabel and Eliot Wolf have added plenty of experience to their practice squad.

Jaimes (46 games, 3 starts) joins cornerback Corey Ballentine (69 games, 11 starts), tackle Thayer Munford (46 games, 18 starts), linebacker Mark Robinson (38 games, 4 starts), and defensive tackle Cory Durden (8 games) on the 17-player practice squad.
