Heading into the 2025 season, cornerback Jourdan Lewis was named a team captain in his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But before signing with the Jaguars this offseason as a free agent, Lewis was with the Dallas Cowboys, which included spending four seasons with Micah Parsons.

As we know, Parsons–a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro–was traded from Dallas to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round draft picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Speaking with the media for the first time since the trade happened, Lewis was asked about the move.

“It’s Jerry’s World, man,” Lewis said. “It is definitely a surprise. Micah, I thought he was going to be a staple for a long time, but I feel like feelings get sour and things went south. So it’s the NFL. Anything can happen.”

Lewis was a third-round draft pick by Dallas and spent his first eight NFL seasons with the team. This past March, as a free agent, Lewis signed a three-year $30 million deal to join the Jaguars. At one point, he was the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL.
