With plenty of doom and gloom surrounding the Dallas Cowboys over the last week, the team was finally given some positive news heading into their Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
CB Trevon Diggs (knee) is expected to play Thursday night against the Eagles, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday, per a source. Diggs came off the PUP list on Aug. 24 after undergoing knee surgery in December. Diggs has been a full participant in practice this week.
With all signs pointing to Trevon Diggs returning to the field in Philadelphia, the Cowboys will have Diggs and fellow veteran DaRon Bland in the secondary. Diggs has been in the spotlight a lot this offseason due to his choice to rehab the injury away from the team, but it sure seems like his decision was ultimately the best for him returning to the field as soon as possible.
