ESPN’s Bill Barnwell recently put together his playoff predictions for the 2025 NFL season and included were the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Barnwell named the 14 teams that he believes will make the postseason and then who he expects to be playing for the Super Bowl.

The Jaguars weren’t in the latter prediction, but Barnwell does have them earning a playoff spot by winning the AFC South.
Also of note, Barnwell did not have the Houston Texans as a playoff team.
“It feels as if the Jaguars run into the Our new coach is obviously a major upgrade on our old coach cycle more than any other team,” Barnwell wrote, “but after Trevor Lawrence endured a static and frustrating offense when healthy in 2024, the hope has to be that he gets back to his old form with Liam Coen at the helm and a more modern offensive attack.”
Barnwell continued, “We’re not that far removed from the midway point of 2023, when the Jags were in position to claim the top seed in the AFC in November before a Lawrence injury sent them into a tailspin.”

With the amount of change that took place this offseason for the Jaguars, from the front office to the coaching staff to the roster, knowing exactly what to expect this season is very much a guess at this time. There are a lot of variables at work.
But with that said, it’s hard not to be excited about the path that the organization now seems to be on.
Liam Coen brings a highly productive offensive scheme to Jacksonville. James Gladstone reshaped the roster and prioritized building around Trevor Lawrence this offseason, while Anthony Campanile’s defensive scheme is malleable and one that is built on multiplicity, helping to put the defenders in a position to go make plays.
Also helping things, at least on paper, is that the Jaguars have the ninth-easiest strength of schedule this season.
