The Seattle Seahawks’ first injury report of the season revealed some good news regarding linebacker Tyrice Knight and rookie wide receiver Tory Horton.

As for veteran edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu? It’s still wait and see.

The Seahawks are being overlooked in 4 ways by national pundits

Knight, who was sidelined for part of training camp with a knee injury and a separate undisclosed medical issue, wasn’t among the five players listed on Seattle’s mandatory practice report for Wednesday. Horton, who injured his ankle in the second preseason game, landed on the report but was listed as a full participant.

That appears to indicate both Knight and Horton are on track to play in Sunday afternoon’s season opener against the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers.

Nwosu, meanwhile, was listed as a limited participant as he continues to work back from offseason knee surgery.

“We’ll just kind of let Uchenna’s situation play itself out right now,” Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said when asked about Nwosu’s status prior to Wednesday’s practice.

Wide receivers Jake Bobo (concussion), Dareke Young (hamstring) and Cody White (shoulder) were also limited. Bobo sustained a concussion in the preseason finale during a collision on a punt return.

Below is the full practice report for the Seahawks:

Limited participation

• OLB Uchenna Nwosu (knee)
• WR Jake Bobo (concussion)
• WR Dareke Young (hamstring)
• WR Cody White (shoulder)

Full participation

• WR Tory Horton (ankle)

49ers injury report

The 49ers had 16 players on their initial practice report, but 10 were full participants. The report was an estimation, as practice wasn’t yet completed when it was released.

Most notably, wide receiver Jauan Jennings (calf) and right guard Dominick Puni (knee) were limited, while defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) and wide receiver Jordan Watkins (ankle) did not practice.

The 49ers are already down several key players. Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and safety Malik Mustapha are opening the season on the physically unable to perform list, while wide receiver Demarcus Robinson is suspended for the first three games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
