For the second straight day, the Cincinnati Bengals were blessed by the football gods with a clear bill of health.
Defensive tackle BJ Hill’s name was on the team’s injury report on Thursday, but it was for a veteran rest day and wasn’t injury-related. This is good news for the Bengals, who have expressed their desire to get their season started off with a win instead of the typical slow start in the Zac-Taylor era.
The Cleveland Browns, who had 11 players on their Wednesday injury report, have added a couple more on Thursday. Guard Joe Bitonio, defensive tackle Shelby Harris, center Ethan Pocic, and wide receiver Cedric Tillman, who were all limited on Wednesday, were full go.
Tight end Blake Whiteheart, corner Denzel Ward, and linebacker Mohamoud Diabate were limited on Wednesday and Thursday as well. Defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. did not practice on Wednesday, but he was upgraded to limited status.
As far as the new names on the list, tackle Jack Conklin was limited, but this was due to rest.
The big news here is that defensive end Myles Garrett, by far the best player on the Browns’ team, did not practice with a new hip injury. He was joined by linebacker Easton Mascarenas-Arnold, who sat out with a new Achilles issue.
