Syracuse Orange Football Head Coach Fran Brown was all jokes on Monday, mentioning the Buffalo Bills’ dramatic comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night.

“I see you have that Bills hat on there. That was a heck of a comeback,” Brown told reporters Monday. “Everyone is loving that comeback but they are killing me about mine. I watched that. That was a good comeback. Football.”

But the head coach had a comeback of his own this weekend.

The Orange beat the UConn Huskies on Saturday 27-20 in overtime after trailing 17-6 with just five minutes to go.

Syracuse quarterback Steve Angeli had a monster 417-yard, two-touchdown performance in the win.

Angeli on Monday was named a Manning Award star of the week.

“He’s tough. He’s a Jersey boy, we knew that coming from him,” Brown said. “He comes from a good program. He has learned a lot, learned a lot in life. He has tough parents. He is a faith-driven kid. He has faith. Goes and talks to the guys, ‘hey, next play don’t worry about it.’ I worry about it more than he does. He is onto the next play as soon as something happens. He goes to the iPad get it fixed, keeps it moving. He is a true leader.”

Up next for the Orange is a matchup with Colgate at the Dome Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.Â
