NFL Fantasy Football is in full swing. Well, it’s only been one week…but there are definitely people in your league panicking. Either injuries, poor performance, or really good performances from other people on someone’s depth chart, are getting to someone right now in your league. It might even be you.
If you’re a New Orleans Saints fan, and you are in a little bit of a panic, here’s an option you might want to look at.
Which Saint Should Be Added To Your Fantasy Football Team?
After Week 1 of the NFL season, the New Orleans Saints actually look better than a lot of people thought. Sure, it’s one week, and it might have been that the Arizona Cardinals are worse than we thought too. But there were some bright spots for sure.
Most people are looking at Tight End Juwan Johnson as a waiver wire pickup for this week.

In Week 1, Johnson was targeted 11 times, with 8 catches, and 76 yards. In the final minute of the game, he also nearly added another 10ish yards and a touchdown…but the ball got dislodged with a big hit on the goalline.
That performance has caught a ton of attention around the fantasy football world.
Why Is Juwan Johnson A Waiver Wire Target Now?
But Johnson isn’t being targeted by fantasy football experts just because he had a good performance in Week 1. Across the NFL, there were multiple injuries to tight ends that have fantasy football players worried.

The biggest of them is George Kittle, who’s hamstring injury has seen him get placed on the IR. But Travis Kelce leaving the field (even though he came back out) gave some players a little pause too.

Not to mention some tight end starters saw a little more competition for snaps and catches in Week 1 than some would have liked to see. Even in Cleveland, where we all thought we knew who the number 1 tight end on the depth chart was.
What Other Saints Should You Look For?
If you panicked for a wide receiver, and Rashid Shaheed is available in your league, he’s probably worth a flier. He caught 6 passes for 33 yards in Week 1, but he was targeted in the endzone too. So there might be a Shaheed owner that will be dropping him this week, and you might be able to slide in and pick him up for nothing.

Outside of that, there aren’t any Saints players worth putting on your fantasy football roster besides Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, who should be owned in basically every normal league. After those two, its Juwan Johnson and Rashid Shaheed for most leagues…and that’s it.
