Atlanta signed kicker Parker Romo to the practice squad and released LB Ronnie Perkins.

The Atlanta Falcons made a few changes to their practice squad on Tuesday afternoon, signing kicker Parker Romo and releasing edge Ronnie Perkins in a corresponding move. According to a report from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Falcons worked out a handful of kickers before signing Romo.

“Parker Romo was in camp with the Patriots,” wrote Pelissero. “He was one of several kickers who worked out this morning for Falcons — a list that also included Zane Gonzalez, Michael Badgley and Ben Sauls.”

Romo, 28, doesn’t have a ton of NFL experience but he played in four games for the Minnesota Vikings last season, converting on 11 of 12 field goal attempts and seven of eight extra points. Romo’s longest career field goal was from 55 yards out.

Perkins, 25, is a former third-round pick from the 2021 draft. He’s already been signed and released multiple times by Atlanta, so don’t be surprised if he returns in the coming weeks. Check out the Falcons’ updated practice squad below.
