It was the slap heard around Brazil—and it’s still causing controversy.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers opened their regular season last Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Chargers beat the Chiefs 27-21 in a close and heated game.

Tensions boiled when defensive tackle Teair Tart slapped Travis Kelce in his facemask during their game. The hit drew a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty, but officials ruled it wasn’t a “disqualifying action,” allowing Tart to stay in the game.

But the drama didn’t stop there. A day after the game, Tart took to Instagram, sharing photos and videos from the game alongisde a snippy caption: “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil…”

It also included a slide from the movie How High of a character getting slapped in the face.

Taylor Swift fans love Travis Kelce for obvious reasons, and they quickly came to the defense of both Kelce and his superstar fiancée in Tart’s comment section.

Swifties weren’t the only ones who took issue. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also questioned the ruling on Sports Radio 810 WHB earlier this week.

“I don’t understand that rule. I guess it’s open-hand, fist, whatever, I don’t know. I don’t know what their decision was on that,” Reid said. “But he definitely got hit in the head pretty hard, whether it was an open fist or a closed fist.”

Reid added he plans to bring the play up with the league, joking he couldn’t say too much more without risking a fine.
