TE Tip Reiman and LB Cody Simon began the week sitting out practice with injuries.

The Arizona Cardinals opened practice Wednesday for Sunday’s Week 2 home opener against the Carolina Panthers, and they released their first injury report of the week. It included some new names on the list. The report does not include safety/special teams standout Joey Blount, who was placed on injured reserve Wednesday because of a neck injury.

Who is on the Cardinals’ first Week 1 injury report of the week?

Reiman isn’t a full-time starter, but often does when the Cardinals open with at least two tight ends. He is a significant factor in the blocking for the ground game.

Something to watch in the next two days is whether the Cardinals bring in a punter for a tryout and a potential practice squad spot in the event there is concern about Gillikin being able to play.

As he was last week coming back a 2024 torn ACL, Hernandez was limited.
