As the final preparations for the Cincinnati Bengals wind down ahead of their matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the injury report provided some good news Friday.
Offensive tackle Amarius Mims (ankle) was limited throughout the week, but head coach Zac Taylor said that it was just soreness and that Mims will be “good to go” on Sunday.
Mims’ presence will be welcomed, as the Bengals play another strong pass rush with Jacksonville’s Josh Hines-Allen and Trevon Walker looking to push the pocket and get to Joe Burrow.
Taylor also added that defensive tackle B.J. Hill will also play. Hill got a rest day on Thursday and was dealing with his own ankle injury in the offseason. Rest days for veterans are common, so Hill is in line to be full go this weekend.
The Bengals are once again healthy heading in to the week, and hopefully, that leads to them putting on a bit better of a showing than Week 1 when they barely escaped Cleveland with a win.
Jacksonville has not updated its injury report yet. We will update this post when it becomes available.
