The Dallas Cowboys are ready to return to the rumble. In less than 48 hours they will get a chance to rinse off the disappointment from their opening week loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Their Week 2 opponent, the New York Giants, also lost their season opener to a division opponent, so both teams are looking to avoid 0-2 starts overall and in the NFC East.
As is always the case, injuries will play an important role in the outcome of the game. The Cowboys suffered a major one to an All-Pro this week in practice, and the Giants have been hoping to get some good news on their top offensive lineman. What are the game designations as the week of practice concludes? All of the information is below.

The Cowboys placed DT Perrion Winfrey on IR this week, as a back injury he suffered in practice, and now Bland follows the similar injury. Bland’s foot isn’t the same one that cost him half of the 2024 season, and the team is deciding if he’ll be back in short order, so for now there’s no IR.
The team hasn’t made a roster move to fill Winfrey’s slot. They will likely elevate two players from the practice squad on Saturday, have one less inactive on Sunday, and then decide what to do next based on the game performance.
