The Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears in the 2025 home opener for Dan Campbell’s Lions. It’s a 1 p.m. ET kickoff in Ford Field as the Lions look to avoid an 0-2 start for the first time since 2021. Chicago is also 0-1, and the Bears haven’t won in Week 2 since that same 2021 season.

The game will be broadcast on FOX as one of the network’s early-slate matchups. Kenny Albert will have play-by-play, with Jonathan Vilma providing commentary. Refereeing the game will be Land Clark, who hasn’t officiated the Lions since 2023.

Markets in blue on the map below (courtesy 506 Sports) will broadcast the Lions game on the local FOX affiliate, which includes FOX2 in Detroit. Those in green get the Seattle-Pittsburgh game, while red markets feature the Cowboys and Giants. As you might surmise from the geography, the yellow markets will draw the 49ers and Saints in the early window.

For fans in areas where the Lions-Bears isn’t the game, the NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL+ are options to stream.

The entire country will get the Super Bowl rematch, Kansas City vs Philadelphia, in the late window on FOX.
