Fans react to Green Bay Packers’ win over Washington Commanders

Green Bay Packers fans react to the team’s 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field.

The Green Bay Packers‘ 28-17 win over the Washington Commanders not only moved the Packers to 2-0 but gave them victories over two teams seen as NFC heavyweights coming into the season.

Vegas was among the entities paying attention. The Packers now have the best odds of any NFC team to win the Super Bowl, at +650, according to BetMGM. The Buffalo Bills (+550) and Baltimore Ravens (+600) are the only teams with better odds.

The Philadelphia Eagles, next on the list, have +700 odds. The Packers will face the reigning Super Bowl champs Nov. 10.

The numbers with plus values relate to the amount of money a bettor would win on a $100 bet placed today.

It wasn’t just Vegas whose opinion of the Packers improved.

Diante Lee of The Ringer wrote about how the Packers staked their claim as a bona fide Super Bowl contender with their performance on “Thursday Night Football.”

Jeff Kerr of CBS asked if the Packers have the best defense in the NFC.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked what he thought about fans chanting “Thank you, Jerry” in Micah Parsons’ direction after the win, and he took it in stride, maintaining the move was still a good one for the Cowboys, too.
