Andres Borregales returned to Miami on Sunday, playing on the field where he spent a lot of time in college. However, it was a rough start for the rookie kicker.
The New England Patriots got out to the fast start they have been hoping for, but Borregales missed both of the extra point attempts. So instead, they led 12-0.

So, how does Mike Vrabel feel about the rookie?
“Gotta have a lot of confidence in him and I do have a lot of confidence in him,” Mike Vrabel told reporters after the Patriots’ 33-27 win over the Dolphins. “I didn’t waver.”
Borregales bounced back, making a 22-yard field goal along with an impressive 53-yard attempt to give the Patriots a six-point lead in the fourth quarter.
“I’m happy for Andy,” Vrabel said. “That’s why he’s here. I thought after the first two he really settled down, and that’s what we’ll have to have.”
Borregales also missed a 40-yard kick in the team’s season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.

It’s clear that they are going to need more from Borregales as the season continues, but for now, he has the support of the entire coaching staff.
