Reigning NFL MVP and Bills QB Josh Allen has signed a new endorsement contract with New Balance.

While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the pact includes a financial commitment from both he and the company to help fund the community youth sports program in Allen’s hometown of Firebaugh, California, as part of the agreement.

“I’m proud to share I’m joining the New Balance family, a brand that, like Firebaugh, is built on family, community and authenticity,” Allen said in a letter announcing the decision. “Firebaugh didn’t have quarterback camps or private trainers. We had heart. We had community. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”

He noted the community partnership would be “To help young athletes chase their dreams.”

“Whether you’re a kid just picking up a football for the first time or a high schooler grinding through two-a-days, we’re here for you, cheering you on from afar, from Boston, to Buffalo, to Firebaugh.” He added.

The signing is a big get for Massachusetts-based New Balance, whose roster features other prominent athletes such as Coco Gauff, Shohei Ohtani, and Kawhi Leonard. Allen had been a Nike athlete since he entered the league in 2018.

“As New Balance continues to grow its football family, we’re honored to welcome Josh Allen on the field and in the community, helping lead the next chapter,” the company said in a released statement.

Allen continues his growing list of endorsements as he builds his off-field portfolio on the back of an MVP-winning NFL season, also having signed on for endorsements with New Era, Pepsi, Snickers, Buffalo Wild Wings, and joining fitness recovery brand Therabody as their first-ever Performance Advisor.

In the case of this new deal, home was clearly where the heart is, and its wider-reaching impact was a big factor.

“Because Firebaugh raised me. And now, it’s my turn to give back.”
