Michael Strahan was overjoyed with the Giants’ late win
Michael Strahan, former New York Giants player, was seen passionately celebrating a late touchdown by the Giants against the Dallas Cowboys, despite accusations of being “traitorous.” from fans.
FOX NFL Sunday was broadcasting live from Kansas City during the Week 2 rematch of Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and the Eagles, but a blunder caused fans to miss kick-off. A dropped catch by Travis Kelce that resulted in an interception helped the Eagles secure a 20-17 victory.
Strahan faced backlash for predicting an Eagles win, with Giants fans criticizing the former defensive end for supporting their NFC East rivals. However, the 53 year old’s reaction to the Giants taking the lead late in the game demonstrated his continued loyalty to Big Blue.

Strahan was on the FOX set at Arrowhead Stadium, watching the intense Cowboys-Giants game unfold. He was seen focusing on a screen as Russell Wilson threw a stunning late pass to Malik Nabers, who appeared to give the Giants a thrilling late win on the road against the Cowboys, reports the Mirror US.
As Howie Long, Terry Bradshaw, and the rest of the crew reacted to the incredible touchdown, Strahan cheered, stood up with his arm raised, clapped, and delivered a fist-pump, shouting, “Woooo!”.
Strahan continued to circle the desk, dancing and celebrating as the score seemed to give the Giants their first win of the season. However, Brandon Aubrey’s 64-yard field goal forced overtime, where the Cowboys – who signed Jadeveon Clowney after the game – clinched a 40-37 victory in a classic match.
However, Giants supporters remained unsatisfied following Strahan’s selection of the Eagles over the Chiefs. One supporter posted: “F— you Strahan. Moment you said ‘Fly Eagles Fly’ you lose any right to cheer for the Giants.

“Shouldn’t that fraud be somewhere waving an eagles flag,” another posted. Following Strahan’s live prediction from the Power and Light District in Kansas City that the Eagles would beat the Chiefs, Giants supporters expressed their anger online.
“They gotta unretire Strahan’s number from the rafters after picking the Eagles can’t have this traitorous stain being memorialized at MetLife any longer,” one particularly upset Giants supporter shared. Another posted: “Strahan kissing eagles A– Again Is So Weak Smh.
“Watching Fox Pregame. Strahan just picked the Eagles to beat the Chiefs. He should just start wearing a 92 eagles jersey,” another supporter complained. “Had enough of this guy. No respect to BIG BLUE.”
Strahan is recognized for his hosting abilities on FOX NFL Sunday and Good Morning America. However, he also ranks among the most dominant pass-rushers in league history, having dedicated his complete 15-year career to the Giants.

Strahan established the record for most NFL single season quarterback sacks (22.5 in 2002, which was equaled by T. J. Watt in 2021) as he concluded his career with 141.5 sacks. During his final contest, Strahan assisted the Giants in defeating Tom Brady’s perfect New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
He was honored with a spot in the Giants Ring of Honor in 2010 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. However, some fans are calling for Strahan to be ousted from the franchise’s club following his Eagles pick.
The Giants, who have yet to secure a win this season, will face off against the 0-2 Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 3 on Sunday, Sept. 21.
In the meantime, the undefeated Eagles will go head-to-head with the 2-0 Los Angeles Rams earlier in the day.
