Carson Wentz will make NFL history on Sunday when he starts at quarterback for the Vikings. Wentz will become the first player in NFL history to start at least one game for a different team in six consecutive years, having done so with the Eagles (2020), Colts (2021), Commanders (2022), Rams (2023) and Chiefs (2024).
Wentz met with reporters Wednesday in Eagan, expressing how excited he is to start for the team he grew up rooting for. A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, Wentz followed the Vikings closely.
“It’s been a couple of years since I’ve played in a game like this with real consequences,” Wentz said. “So, I’m really excited for it.”
