Two weeks into the 2025 NFL regular season, no one has looked better than the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers, 2-0 on the year, blew out the Detroit Lions in Week 1. They followed up their dominant, 27-13 win over Detroit in Week 1, with an impressive win over Washington in Week 3. Green Bay topped Washington, 27-18, at Lambeau Field. Jordan Love has looked like an MVP candidate at quarterback, passing for 480 yards and four touchdowns through two weeks, while Micah Parsons – traded from Dallas to Green Bay in a Week 1 stunner – has wreaked havoc on opposing offensive lines, totaling 1.5 sacks and several quarterback pressures through two games.

Green Bay has played so well, in fact, that players on the team are already talking about possibly going undefeated. The last NFL team to go undefeated in the regular season was the 2007 New England Patriots, who went 16-0 but ultimately lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl.

Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Rasheed Walker told reporters on Wednesday night, September 17, that he believes his team can go a perfect 17-0 during the regular season. He doesn’t see anyone on the schedule who is better.

“I think we can go undefeated. … Pound for pound, I look at these teams and I don’t really see who is better than us, honestly,” he told reporters, via Dave Schroeder of WBAY.

Can the Packers actually go undefeated? ESPN’s computer predicts

According to ESPN’s computer model, the Football Power Index, the Green Bay Packers will not go undefeated. ESPN’s computer model, which is “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season” that bases projections on “10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule,” has released its final W-L projection for the Packers in 2025.

ESPN’s computer’s final W-L prediction: 11-6.

That’s right – ESPN’s computer model actually has the Packers losing six regular season games. It has the Packers finishing with the second best record in the league and the most wins in the NFC. ESPN’s computer has the Bills winning 12 games.

The Packers’ projected losses, according to ESPN’s computer model

Who are the Packers going to lose to, according to ESPN’s computer model? ESPN’s computer model believes that ultimately, the Packers will lose six games, but the game-by-game predictions outline only two clear losses. The FPI is projecting that some of those other, toss-up games will be losses.

While ESPN’s computer model is projecting the Packers to finish with an 11-6 record, it only has them as underdogs in the following two games:

at Detroit on Nov. 27 – 53.6 percent chance of losing

vs. Baltimore on Dec. 27 – 50.6 percent chance of losing

If the Packers were only to lose those games, they’d finish with a regular season record of 15-2. That would likely be good enough for a No. 1 seed in the NFC – but it’s not going undefeated.
