The New York Giants will host the reigning AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium in Week 3.
The Giants are coming off back-to-back losses against NFC East opponents and will look to stop the bleeding under the bright light. They will have their hands full with the 0-2 Chiefs, who have been one of the best teams in the NFL for the last five years, especially in games following losses.

The Giants opened up as near-touchdown home underdogs earlier this week.
It will be interesting to see how the Giants move on from their heartbreaking overtime loss in Dallas last week after putting up a great offensive performance.
Here are three reasons for optimism going into Week 3.
Building off the offensive explosion from Week 2
The New York Giants are coming off a historic offensive performance from Russell Wilson, one of the best of his long career. Wilson connected with Wan’Dale Robinson and Malik Nabers early and often on Sunday. The Giants put up 37 points after failing to score a touchdown in Week 1. The offense is coming in confident after last week’s performance and will need to keep the offensive momentum going in Week 3.

Improvement on the Offensive Line
After Week 1, it was hard to have any confidence in the Giants’ offensive line. However, in Week 2, the line was serviceable enough to hold up against the Cowboys’ defense. The Giants, of course, subbed in Marcus Mbow in place of James Hudson following the opening drive, where Hudson was called for a flurry of penalties that stalled the Giants. The offensive line looked much better in Week 2 and will have to deal with Chris Jones this week… They will also, ideally, see the return of left tackle Andrew Thomas.
Giants pass rush
The Giants’ pass rush came in with big expectations in 2025. Brian Burns has looked like a star thus far through two games. Kayvon Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter have been a bit of a mixed bag, but have shown flashes in the backfield in each of the first two games. Dexter Lawrence has received high grades through two games despite being quieter than fans are used to. If the pass rush can put it all together, they could have a massive impact on defense.
