The Tennessee Titans are still searching for their first win of the season as the Indianapolis Colts arrive to town for the Week 3 game on Sept. 21 at Nissan Stadium.
Cam Ward looked better in the Week 2 loss to the LA Rams, throwing his first career touchdown pass. But he and the Titans offense slumped in the fourth quarter as LA took control.
If Ward can put four quarters together, with help from the offensive line against a so-so pass rush, the Titans may be in line to record their first win of 2025.
The Colts offense looked good in two wins to open the season at home, with Daniel Jones looking as comfortable throwing downfield as he ever has as a pro. And don’t forget about All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor, who eclipsed 100 rushing yards in last week’s win over Denver.
Here are the Tennessean’s Titans-Colts expert picks:

Colts 28, Titans 23
The story on the Titans remains the same: Until this team can prove it knows how to play well late, it’s hard to pick them. Expect Ward and the offense to have some success against a defense that won’t pressure the quarterback as much. But those pesky fourth quarters keep burning the Titans, and that’ll be the case again.
Gentry Estes, columnist
Titans 19, Colts 17
Just feels like each of these teams might be due one of those revert-to-the-mean NFL results. Plus, I can’t pick the Titans to lose every week, right?
Nick Gray, trending reporter
Titans 24, Colts 20
You can’t watch the first two games of the season for each team and think the Titans have a reasonable chance to win. But it’s not the worst matchup given Indy’s lack of a pass rush. (Plus, if not this game, then when for win No. 1?)
Tom Kreager, Tennessean sports director
Colts 27, Titans 17
Danny Dimes does it again. The Colts have too much going for them right now. Meanwhile, the Titans can’t help themselves with way too many penalties and disastrous fourth-quarter meltdowns.Â
