The Denver Broncos have called up two reinforcements ahead of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Broncos elevated linebacker Garret Wallow and fullback Adam Prentice from the practice squad to the game-day roster. They will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.

NFL teams are allowed to elevate up to two players to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear waivers before returning to the practice squad. However, there is a three-elevation limit per player each season. Sunday will mark the third and elevation of the year for Prentice and a second elevation for Wallow.

With Michael Burton on injured reserve, Prentice will serve as the team’s fullback in Week 3. Wallow will give Denver more depth at linebacker after the team placed Dre Greenlaw on short-term injured reserve with a quad injury.

Sunday’s game (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on CBS (view the TV broadcast map). The Broncos are considered slight underdogs against the Chargers in Week 3.
