Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the New Orleans Saints heading west to visit the Seattle Seahawks at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Saints have come up short in back-to-back one-score games to open the season and fell to the 49ers in a 26-21 loss last Sunday. Quarterback Spencer Rattler had himself a good performance in the loss and has shown some moxie as the Saints’ starter in the early stages of the campaign.

Below, we’ll go over Rattler’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints QB Spencer Rattler

Rattler had the best game of his pro career last Sunday, going 25-34 for 207 yards and three touchdowns to finish as a top-10 fantasy QB for the week with 21.2 points. He could’ve potentially put even more points on the board had his final drive late in the last two minutes been successful, but he came up short for a second straight week.

The second-year QB has looked surprisingly sharp through these first two weeks and that has earned him praise from franchise legend Drew Brees this week. According to Pro Football Focus, he grades as the 10th-ranked QB in the league heading into Week 3 and is sixth in big-time throws despite having one of the lowest average times to throw in the entire NFL. We’ll see if he can put together another quality start on the road this week.

Start or sit in Week 3?

Start. Seattle’s pass defense has been subpar throw two weeks as it is yielding 7.03 yards per attempt with a defensive passing EPA of 0.06. That could set up for another solid performance for Rattler, who is currently the No. 18 QB in fantasy football. If you have him on your roster, I say take a risk and give him a shot as the starter. If you don’t have him, he’s rostered in less than 4% of fantasy leagues and should be available on the waiver wire if you’re curious.
