NFL fines Bengals, Jaguars players for actions from Week 2 game

The main storyline chasing the Cincinnati Bengals out of last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars was losing Joe Burrow to injury.

After that, it was all about moving to 2-0 and avoiding a slow start under Zac Taylor.

Here’s another interesting one, roughly a week later, though: The NFL fined multiple players from the game.

According to the NFL, Bengals edge rusher Joseph Ossai received an $11,593 fine for his facemask personal foul in the fourth quarter.

Ossai wasn’t alone. Per the NFL, Jaguars defender Yasir Abdullah received a $6,229 fine for his use of a helmet on Bengals returner Samaje Perine.

Small fines and housekeeping from the NFL here, though it’s notable now because the league doesn’t reveal fine and infraction information until the next Saturday.
