Here’s something few expected when the NFL season kicked off three weeks ago: The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to New York looking for their first win.

That the Giants are also winless isn’t quite as big a surprise, and someone will leave MetLife Stadium with the dreaded 0-3 record that usually is an early death knell.

Not surprisingly, the Giants are expected to be that 0-3 team, as they are a touchdown home underdog against a Kansas City team that looked disjointed in its first two losses.

The Arizona Republic: Chiefs 23, Giants 20

Bookies.com: Bet the Chiefs to cover vs Giants

Bill Speros writes: “Both versions of Taylor Swift’s ‘Welcome To New York’ have amassed more than 425 million streams on Spotify. Her follow up — ‘Lost In East Rutherford’ — has 127. Taylor was a no-show Sunday in Kansas City as the Chiefs lost their 3rd straight (including 2 to Philly going back to the Super Bowl.) Her betrothed had a TD turned into a pick courtesy of the Eagles stingy defense. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs went 12-0 in one-score games last season. They are 0-2. Steve Spagnuolo’s defense will dial up the pressure to 11 on Russell Wilson, whose efficiency decreases markedly when on the move.”

Dimers: Chiefs 25, Giants 19

Sportsnaut: Chiefs 21, Giants 20

Matt Johnson writes: “The Kansas City Chiefs’ defense showed a bit more life in Week 2, even though it ended in a loss. We also have a ton of confidence in Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo drawing up a scheme that will exploit Russell Wilson’s all-or-nothing tendencies and his penchant for taking sacks. That said, the Chiefs’ offense has largely been abysmal this season, so it should be a very close game. Ultimately, we’re not betting against Patrick Mahomes finding a way to win on Sunday Night Football versus a New York Giants defense that allows the fourth-most yards per drive (43.2).”
