2 players cut to make room for UDFAs

After picking seven players in the 2025 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos had room to sign 13 undrafted free agents to fill out the 90-man offseason roster. The Broncos ended up reaching agreements with 15 UDFAs, so the team needed to make two transactions to make room for the new arrivals.

To make room for the new rookies, Denver released veteran punter Matt Haack and long snapper Zach Triner, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. Following those moves, punter Jeremy Crawshaw seems to have the punting duties locked down. Incumbent long snapper Mitchell Fraboni (back) remains sidelined, but Christian Johnstone is trying out at rookie minicamp, so Triner was apparently expendable.

The Broncos will hold a rookie minicamp this week, followed by organized team activities in late May and early June. The initial part of the offseason work will conclude after a mandatory minicamp in mid-June. Players will then have off before reporting back for the start of training camp in late July.
