It sounds like another position change could be on the table for Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Dax Hill.
New Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden figures to implement plenty of changes as he takes over this offseason.

One of those, it seems, is taking the former first-rounder Hill and putting him in the slot.
“We’ll see at the end of the day after we accumulate all the talent via the draft and free agency where are the best pieces,” Golden said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “He’s certainly a candidate to do that and I think he knows he can do that, too.”

Hill, of course, was the first-rounder who was supposed to eventually replace Jessie Bates. But he struggled in that role and last year found himself playing mostly boundary corner.

After some success there, Hill suffered a season-ending injury. But the promise of his upside being realized on the perimeter was a silver lining of sorts for the defense going into the offseason.
That said, Hill’s natural position in college was the slot. His moving would perhaps signal the departure of Mike Hilton in free agency, giving Golden a chance to start Cam Taylor-Britt and DJ Turner on the boundary — provided they don’t add any starter-worthy players there in free agency or the draft.
